- Not making up facts at all. Just looking at possibilities. This is a blog--not a court of law. Police officers use same logic with probable cause. Based on how prior run-ins and current case was handled--with inconsistent police work, it could very well be that some calls were made.

- Sounds to me like the responding officers knew who this kid was, based on his fathers connections. Remember the chief was called to the scene also. I think it's plausible that the officers on the scene gave the EMTs a heads up, and let him go.

- As a Black man in Charlotte NC, who voted against the marriage amendment I can say Roland and Co. might be onto something--as much as I disagree. There are waaaay too many people in this part of the country who follow their pastors commands.
